BLURB:

She has a secret.
I’m complicated. Not broken or ruined or running from a past I can’t face. Just complicated.
I thought my life couldn’t get any more tangled in deceit and confusion. But I hadn’t met him. I hadn’t realized how far I could fall or what I’d have do to get free.

He has a secret.
I’ve never pretended to be good or deserving. I chase who I want, do what I want, act how I want.
I didn’t have time to lust after a woman I had no right to lust after. I told myself to shut up and stay hidden. But then she tried to run. I’d tasted what she could offer me and damned if I would let her go.

Secrets destroy them.

Pepper Winters is a NYT and USA Today International Bestseller. She wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex.

My Own Writing.

Hey everybody,

Well this topic is a loaded question because at the moment I’m at uni and a lot of creativity isn’t happening apart from my uni courses (if you don’t know I study Literature and writing at uni). It can be hard to be creative especially when studying it at uni plus on top of essays and all that other stuff. So my personal writing has been pushed backwards but hey that’s only for a couple months and then holidays which then means the cycle starts again.

However I am for one of my classes I’m actually writing a romance. The teacher wanted us to test ourselves and there is a possibility it could be published whenever I finish it. So it is good in way because in the class it all about publishing industry. Also my teacher isn’t one of those typical literary teachers who believes you should only produce literary work, she actually believes people should writing in the marketable genres that make money.

Well that’s it about my own personal writing at the moment. I will hopefully update some more about it as I write. Thanks guys 🙂

Review of Marked by Kit Rocha, Lauren Dane and Vivian Arend

Image

I did receive the ARC for a honest review. This is only Beyond Temptation by Kit Rocha so far. I’m still reviewing the others and this is only a first read review. I will be reading all three books again and doing more longer review of each story.

~*~

The Strong, Beautiful, and Sensual women of Sector Four are back with a new heroine at the helm. Of course we have our Sexy has Sin men of Sector Four back but however the hero of this story isn’t an O’Kane and from outside the sector.

Beyond Temptation is a novella in the series. It might be shorter but it’s still just as sexy and sinful as the other books. Right from the first sentence readers start to get a sense of what and where this story is going. ‘Revenge is addictive.” As a reader you already start to get an idea of how the hero acts and thinks. You also realize that the heroine is his addiction. He tried to save her years ago but that didn’t go as plan and he finds her again. He finds her much grown up and not the little girl he use to remember. He has never forgotten her and probably always thought about her. That’s the sense I got from the beginning of the story. Noah battles a little with his feelings for Emma which as readers of this series would know that isn’t unusual for the guys of this series. Emma is like all other O’Kane women. She is strong, knows what she wants, beautiful, sensual and sassy. She owns her sexuality and knows what she wants.

These two characters collide in this dystopian society and have to fight for what they want like the other characters that have come so far. We are rekindled with beloved old characters and of course chapter two of this novella takes us to a very familiar sight when it come to Sector Four and the O’Kane gang. It’s one of the famous orgy parties that you really can’t get enough of.

Book Review of Kept by Jamie Fuch

This book captured my eye with its cover and then once I read the premise I wanted to know more.

Well boy did I fall down the smutty and sexy rabbit hole.

This story is full of everything that could make people really enjoy it. You have the whole BDSM theme throughout it. There is a foursome with f/f also. Even if you aren’t into f/f combination this scene is done tastefully. Of course it’s a short read but there are more in the series which I got also and couldn’t put any of them down.

This book will leave you wanting more and more. I highly recommend it! Love it.

Book Review- Divine Grace by Heather Rainier

Image

I came across Divine Grace by Heather Rainier through recommendations on this site because of my liking of other series from this publisher. Boy am I glad that I found this awesome series and this fantastic author. Wow! I love this book and I know that everybody might not agree with that but this is my view on it. Also it’s a menage story which I can’t help but enjoy and be intrigued about. I don’t know why but I like to read them. (Maybe that’s saying something about me lol)

What really sold me on this series and author is the fact that she writes about women who are curvy or aren’t perfect. Heather’s female heroines are natural and normal women which is always refreshing to read about because most women aren’t perfect.

Grace who is the heroine of the story started off shy and quiet. Grace’s character really develops through this story and you see someone grow as a person then if you read more of the series you will see her grow even more. She becomes quite the lovable character.

There are three male heroes who are Jack who is the first of the heroes we meet, who then leads us to our other two heroes Ethan and Adam. All three of course are different in personality which is something I think needs to happen because it would be boring if the heroes were all the same. They all bring something different to the story and to the relationship.

The three of them help Grace throw out some of the old trash in her life and then help her build a new and better one. Though the falling in the love bit might happen pretty quickly you can see why the four of them can’t help but fall in love with each other so quickly. Heather does tend to make her couples fall in love quickly but I think the way she develops and builds her characters especially the men you can see why this would happen.

I would highly recommend this to other people to read and I have. It’s a good book and series if people want to read it. There is romance and also smoking love scenes.

Book Review- Beyond Shame by Kit Rocha

Image

Burn baby burn.

Whoa this story is smoking hot and sexy. I couldn’t put this book down and I couldn’t get enough of it. The authors have created a world that will keep you excited and keep you squirming. So be warned about where you read this book because your reaction to some of the scenes might be noticeable by those around you. It’s a book you will keep coming back to and want to be part of the world that the authors have created.

Beyond Shame is set in a dystopian earth. Solar flares have drastically changed earth and the people that live on it. Sectors make up the world now and each sector is different from each other. Eden is the supposed Utopian city that everybody should strive to live in.

Personally I’m a Sector 4 girl for life. It might look like hell to those that live in the city but really what happens in Sector 4 is far from hell, well most of it for sure and has long you our under O’Kane protection.

Whoa the O’Kane gang. What to say about these men? There is too much to say about them. They are some fine men that are in this sector. Sure some of them might look rough and about ready to rip you apart (and they probably would)however these men really know how to treat women with respect. That’s one of the many reason I really enjoyed this story.

The story begins with Noelle Cunningham. Noelle has been kicked out of Eden because of supposed lewd conduct basically but in fact she was just being like any other normal human being and experimenting with sex and finding out what she wants. Noelle is stumbling along the streets of Sector 4 and is about to be maybe be taken against her will by some guy when Jasper McCray shows up. Jasper is the hero of this book and Noelle literally falls into his arms.

Jasper will not leave her just to the wolves so he decides to take her home where Noelle quickly becomes the favourite of the head female basically of the Sector, Lex. Lex is a really strong female character and she becomes close to Noelle and I mean close. This story does contain f/f scenes also all other types of mixtures and even a orgy party.

Jasper and Noelle grow closer to each other also has characters has this story develops more and more. They both have their flaws which is always something I like to read about. I don’t like perfect characters and I like when they are relatable because no one is perfect.

The authors have started the building of what is sure to be a dark and edgy world. I absolutely love this series and I can’t recommend it enough. I have definitely become a fan of this series and I’m definitely O’Kane for life.
